Thank you so much for donating to Amara Conservation!

Amara and our countless volunteers (along with our Kenya staff) depend on ongoing private donations to fund our operations.

The elephants of Kenya are at extreme risk of complete extinction.

Amara provides community education to the local population of Kenya to bring awareness and sustainable livelihoods to protect the wildlife and natural surrounding habitats.

How You Can Donate

The easiest way to support Amara is by making a donation through PayPal – Thank You!

A little bit can go a long way.

Financial donations quickly add up to fund simple but effective projects:

  • 2 Film Showing Staff salaries, one day in the field – $50
  • Tree Seedling Planting Training for one rural School (approx. 100 children) – $75
  • Fuel for one Land Rover (MFU) for a week – $100
  • Sponsor Field Trip to National Park for one rural school – $220
  • Show environmental education films to 7,000 people – $350
  • Alternative Livelihood Seminar attendance for 200 people – $500

It Takes More Than Money

Amara Conservation was established as a non-profit in 2001, with an office in Kenya, and an office stateside in Ann Arbor, MI. We are always interested in discussing possibilities for corporate sponsorship, volunteer positions, or mutually beneficial relationships with educational institutions or like-minded non-profits.

Our most generous corporate support thus far has been provided by Land Rover, who graciously donated two vehicles. We have received support from key major private donors, and grant funding from the US Fish And Wildlife African Elephant Conservation Fund and the Disney Worldwide Conservation Fund.

Our continued efforts would be impossible without the considerable contributions and expertise donated free of charge by our growing number of supporters.

Please contact us if you would like to help with our administrative work  (newsletters, donor mailings, brochures, e-mail campaigns and web updates).

We can always use the support of professional grant writers!

Please don’t hesitate to e-mail Lori Bergemann directly if you can assist with this vital support.

If you have some other special skills and are interested in helping please let us know.

Resources & Equipment

One of the most fundamental tools in the work we do is the vehicle that takes us to the remote locations where the work gets done. We’ve been very fortunate to have our vehicle needs provided by Land Rover. Without their support, much of our work would be impossible.

We always have other ongoing equipment and supply needs.

If you own or work with an organization that could be a good fit with Amara, contact us!
